On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the regulating office between 66 and 67 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard from the door showing a cupboard unit with a flat tray card cabinet on it and pigeon hole racks above. Next to the cupboard is an hinged bunk with a glazed key cabinet above it. A full height wardrobe, a desk and a tubular steel chair are on the left. sliding door cupboards with bookshelves over are against the ship's side. Amongst the publications on the shelves are copies of "The Queen's Regulations". An Olivetti 82 typewriter is tipped up on the deck.
