On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the routine office between 61 and 62½ stations just to port of the centreline on 2 deck looking to starboard from the door showing a desk with a telephone and notice boards above it. On the desk are two mugs and some rolls of marking tape for fire, plastic, vent cooled, fresh, prewet and contaminated pipes.
