On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the officers galley between 48 and 50 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port and slightly aft showing a sink unit and stainless steel dresser with drawers and cupboards under and a utensil rack, a knife rack and shelves above. An hot cupboard is at the end of the dresser and an electric grill is above it. In the corner is a No. 3 Admiralty cooking range. A cheese/vegetable grater, an oven tray of prepared food and a colander of greens are on the sink and dresser. A jar of pickled onions and a jar of pickle are on the hot cupboard. An automatic emergency lantern is against the ship's side.
