The photographer is in the main communications office between 41 and 45 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and to port showing an operator's position equipped with a B40 CAY unit, a B41 CAZ unit a No. 10 MCO - C3 control unit and a morse key in the port forward corner. A large control circuit exchange unit is against the forward bulkhead on the right. A paper shredder, a combination safe, six teleprinter switch units and a board holding an axe, a hammer, pliers and wire cutters are against the ship's side.
