The photographer is in the conversion machinery room between 45 and 48 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking to starboard and forward showing the pitometer log tube and retransmission unit on the left. A motor generator by Small Electric Motors Ltd of Beckenham, Kent, in the centre of the room with an amplidyne next to it. Against the ship's side are two searchlight rectifiers and two 5 KW 24V rectifiers.
