On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the C.P.Os mess between 67 and 73 stations on 2 deck looking forward and to port from just to starboard of the centreline showing the bar in the recreation area. The bar is equipped with two beer pumps and three stools are in front of the bar. The door to the mess is in the forward bulkhead and a telephone is by the side of the door. A refrigerator and a settee are against the port bulkhead and a coffee table is in front of the settee.
