On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the ship's office between 54½ and 56 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking aft and to starboard showing two desks with filing cabinets below and with cupboards, filing baskets, pigeon holes, bookshelves and a notice board above. The desks are covered in documents and envelopes and a telephone is against the forward bulkhead. A petty officer's cap is on one of the shelves.
