The photographer is in the battery charging room between 49 and 50 stations on the centreline of 01 deck looking aft showing benches on both sides of the room with charging racks and control panels above them. A sink is in the starboard aft corner. Battery racks are against the aft bulkhead. On the deck is a lipped bucket on which is stencilled "0461/511 Warm the vessel before filling with very hot liquid. Do not break down concentrated sulphuric acid in this vessel."
