On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Zulu (1962) in Rosyth Dockyard during a lengthy refit which was completed in December 1974. The photographer is in the torpedo maintenance space between 73¾ and 75 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to port and slightly aft showing a torpedo fuses locker, a combination locker, a torpedo air reservoir recharging panel and a work bench with drawers below against the aft bulkhead. A cable stowage bracket and a nitrogen bottle are against the port bulkhead. The foreground is piled high with stores including coir matting and a reel of BICC cable.
