On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Ashanti (1959) alongside the fitting out berth at the Yarrow & Co Ltd shipyard at Scotstoun, Glasgow. The photographer is in the electronics maintenance room between 34 and 38 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to port showing a work bench with drawers and shelves below against the port side of the ship. Seven switch sockets, a test supply box, an amplifier test plug board and cupboards are above the bench. A bench is in the starboard aft corner with a display unit on it and a display power pack unit below it. Suppressors and a fuse panel are against the aft bulkhead.
