On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Ashanti (1959) alongside the fitting out berth at the Yarrow & Co Ltd shipyard at Scotstoun, Glasgow. The photographer is in the passageway between 73 and 78 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard from 75 station showing stairs up to 1 deck with a hatch leading down to 3 deck.
