On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Ashanti (1959) alongside North Corner Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard during her September 1968 to April 1970 refit. The photographer is in the combined technical office between 58½ and 61½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard and aft showing a desk with two chairs against the forward bulkhead. Nests of drawers are under the desk, a filing tray and a covered typewriter are on the desk, cards racks are above the desk and bookshelves are at high level.
