The photographer is in the crew's 2E mess between 41 and 42½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from the middle of the mess showing a triple tier bunk unit against the ship's side with a bookshelf above the middle bunk. Among the books on the shelf are 'Gallery of Rogues', 'The Naked Ape', 'We die alone' and 'Weapons of War'. Three kit lockers are against the aft bulkhead and on one of the lockers is a Radon 404 record player and speakers. One of the lockers is used by writer D.I. Coates P106063. A vertical format negative.
