The refuelling position and ventilation system are against the forward bulkhead in the left foreground. A workbench equipped with a vice is in the forward starboard corner and three fire extinguishers and a fire main nozzle are by the bench. A cleansing locker and control panels for the lift machinery are against the starboard bulkhead. The stowage space for 16 torpedoes is on the right with a roller shutter covering it. Three fire extinguishers and two drums of foam liquid are by the torpedo stowage space.
