A very distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Leyland Red Star Line cruise ship Lapland (1909) at anchor off Ponta Delgada, St Michael's Island, Azores. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has bunting hoisted at each of her four masts. An accommodation ladder is rigged at the shell doors forward and various craft are in attendance at the ship. the photographer is looking to seaward from the shore with a small stone built jetty in the left foreground and a breakwater on the right.
