The photographer is in the operations room between 41½ and 45½ stations on 1 deck looking forward and slightly to port from to starboard of the captain's chair at 43½ station showing a communications desk with three chairs. The positions are equipped with morse keys are are labelled T.O.1, T.O.2 and comms yeoman. Above the desk are telephone circuit and switch boards, a main broadcast microphone terminal, telephones, a speaking tube, the fleet disposition board, the fleet stateboard and a clock reading 11.50. A noticeboard, a key cabinet and a fire extinguisher are attached to the side panel of the desk. The gunnery officer's console is in the left background.
