The photographer is on the starboard side of 01 deck at 61 station looking forward showing the top of the motor whaler davits in the foreground, a whip aerial for the type 640 radio and the canvas covered GWS 21 Seacat missile launcher on the right. Pyrotechnic lockers are alongside the base of the forefunnel which has a black half leader band on it. The top of the mainmast is out of the picture. The ship is berthed starboard side to the jetty. Berthed against the South West Wall is the fleet tug Cyclone (1942).
