The photographer is on the starboard side of 02 deck at 50 station looking aft showing the base of the mainmast on the right. The forefunnel has a black half leader band on it. The canvas covered GWS 21 Seacat missile launcher is on the left and a whip aerial for the type 640 radio is abaft it, above the 27 feet motor whaler in its davits. The GWS 21 Seacat missile blind fire director is abaft the whaler. The ship is berthed starboard side to the jetty. The bow of the aircraft carrier Hermes (1953) is in the background.
