The photographer is in the wardroom between 50 and 56 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking forward and to port from the starboard side showing armchairs in the foreground with the table and upholstered chairs set athwartships in the background. The bar unit is against the ship's side on the left and a painting of the destroyer Nubian (1937) in action during the Second World War is hanging between the scuttles. A sideboard is against the forward bulkhead and a clock reading 01.54 is above the serving hatch. An automatic emergency lantern is alongside the door.
