The photographer is in the seamen's mess between 67 and 73 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward and to starboard from 70½ station on the port side showing two triple tier bunk units in the left foreground and two on the right. Kit lockers are against the forward bulkhead and at the back of the centre bunk unit. Coat hooks are on the backs of more kit lockers on the right.
