A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Italian Navy torpedo boat Lince (1938) moored off the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and the Punta della Dogana at Venice, Italy. She was commissioned 1 April 1938 and has a full set of awnings rigged over her decks and over the accommodation ladder at her quarterdeck. Her identification letters are LC. The photographer is on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) looking west-by-north showing the entrance to the Grand Canal in the centre and the Giudecca Channel on the left. The clock on the Punta della Dogana is reading 12.25.
