The photographer is in the gyro compass room between 47 and 49 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking aft showing the gyro compass on the left with a retransmission unit behind it. The wooden bench has a change over switch and a cupboard below it, an Admiralty gyro compass retransmission unit above it and two terminal units by the side of it. Against the port bulkhead are two motor generators with a power distribution panel, two generator starters and an auto voltage regulator above them.
