A port broadside view of the Cunard Line passenger liner and cruise ship Mauretania (1907) leaving the Ocean Dock at Southampton. In the foreground and seen from abaft her starboard beam is the tug Sir Bevois (1916). She is letting off steam which is obscuring the fore part of the Mauretania. Four tugs are in attendance on the Mauretania with the tug/tender Calshot (1930) off her port quarter, Another two unidentified tugs are off the port side and the fourth tug is towing ahead. Negatives numbers P83962 to P83965 were taken on the same occasion.
