On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified mess showing kit lockers, triple tier bunk units, a settee benchwith lockers under, a loudspeaker, a clock reading 09.21, a mirror and a folding table stowed against a locker. The only signs of occupation are towels hanging on kit lockers and a card on top of a cupboard. This is possibly the crew's mess between 78 and 85 stations on 2 deck.
