On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified mess showing kit lockers, a triple tier bunk unit, an ironing board close to a watertight scuttle in the deck, stairs leading up and a folding table stowed against two lockers. The only signs of occupation are towels hanging on kit lockers and birthday cards on top of the locker on the right. This is possibly the crew's mess between 78 and 85 stations on 2 deck.
