On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the main communication office between 41 and 45 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to port showing Bay 7 desk in the foreground with a rack on it containing a speech converter and units labelled BID/150 No. 1 and BID/150 No. 2. Three bays against the ship's side contain Powquip teleprinters and one has a CJC unit above the teleprinter. Beyond the teleprinter positions are racks of electronic units festooned with cable connections. Against the aft bulkhead are two junction boxes. The transmitter state board is on the left.
