On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the main communication office between 41 and 45 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard showing Bay A, the maintenance bay, against the aft bulkhead. A Powquip teleprinter, a Thermos flask and an upturned chair are on the desk and one has a CJC unit above the teleprinter. At high level against the aft bulkhead are a junction box, a coil supply box and a frequency changer. The RIC Bay is in the foreground with a fire extinguisher on the end of it. Behind the RIC bay are combination locked signal and code cabinets, a key cabinet, a clock reading 5.06, a pin-up calendar for March and April 1973, an RX stateboard and CSP board, a plan showing upper deck aerial locations and a bookshelf.
