On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the passageway between 32 and 41 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 41 station showing the watertight doors at stations 32, 16 and 10 are open. On the port side of the passage are the ammunition hoists, the hoist starter panels and damage control lockers. On the starboard side are three starter panels, stairs up to 1 deck, a drinking water cooler, the hoisting gear for the hull outfit 20 (sonar type 177), drums of foam liquid and the 4.5 inch gun support.
