On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the provision issue room between 38½ and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port and slightly forward from the doorway showing a bread cupboard in the right foreground with two chairs beyond it. On top of the cupboard are three ratings' caps. Tins of produce, including corned beef and Beaulah's beans, are on shelves against the ship's side. A worktop with cereal bins below is against the aft bulkhead and a stack of egg trays is on the worktop.
