On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the crew's galley between 45 and 50 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard and slightly aft from 48½ station on the port side showing a stainless steel dresser with sweet stowage shelves under in the foreground. Against the aft bulkhead are an automatic emergency lantern, the roasting oven, the steaming oven and three boiling coppers. Against the ship's side are a work top with an Hobart gravity meat slicing machine on the end and with shelves above. A fire extinguisher, two squeegee mops, a broom, an automatic emergency lantern, a large ladel and a rack of cook's knives are in the corner. A cook is working at the boiling coppers.
