On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the command shelter lobby between 46 and 47 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking aft and slightly to port from the starboard side showing the door to the combined radar office. Under the stairs leading up to 2 deck are a desk and cupboard with a morse key, a control unit, two loudspeaker units and an alarm bell.
