On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the transmitting station between 45 and 47 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking aft from 45½ station showing the doorway to the command shelter lobby on the left. On the right is the MRS 3 operational console with some of the covers open for maintenance. Against the end bulkhead to port of the door to the transmitting station annexe are a change over switch, a fire control unit, a dimmer unit, and an amplifier loudspeaker. Between the two doors on the left are a fire extinguisher, a telephone handset and a clock reading 10.35. Inside the transmitting station annexe are three junction boxes, a fire extinguisher and a large air bottle.
