On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the conversion machinery room between 45 and 48 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking forward and very slightly to starboard from 47 station showing a choke unit, a filter unit and voltage regulators on the left. On the deck are one small motor generator, two larger motor generators and an amplidyne. Two searchlight rectifiers are against the ship's side. A control board, a contactor panel, a starter and a fuse panel are against the forward bulkhead.
