On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the petty officer's mess between 73 and 78 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from 73 station on the midline of the mess showing two triple tier bunk units on the left and kit lockers on the right. Aft are suitcase lockers and two ammunition hoists. One of the hoists has a motor fitted to it and the other has an automatic emergency lantern on it.
