On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the wardroom between 50 and 56 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to starboard and slightly aft from 54½ station in the lounge area showing a settee bench against the aft bulkhead, armchairs on the left and three coffee tables in the centre of the space. The bar is in the starboard aft corner and the ship's crest is fixed to the front of the bar counter. Against the starboard bulkhead is the ship's silver cabinet with a letter rack fixed to the side of it. By the side of the door is an automatic emergency lantern and a notice board.
