On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the wardroom between 50 and 56 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to starboard and slightly forward showing the table set athwartships and a line of chairs against the side of the ship. Against the forward bulkhead are the sideboard with an hotplate on it, an automatic emergency lantern, a bookcase, an air conditioning unit, a framed portrait of a nubian man and a corner cupboard. Against the starboard bulkhead is a framed photograph of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
