On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in cabin 13 between 52½ and 54½ stations to starboard of the centreline on 1 deck looking to port and aft showing a bunk with a secretaire under, a bookshelf above and a built in wardrobe against the port bulkhead. Against the aft bulkhead is a folding table with an Imperial 66 typewriter on it. A rubber torch is hanging on a coat hook. On a swivel chair in the foreground is a file marked 'Cover for Certificate of Service and Enclosures, Engineering and Shipwright Branches'.
