On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the sonar control room between 41 and 43 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to starboard and aft showing the depth recording console for the type 170B sonar, a spares box and a card rack against the ship's side. Against the aft bulkhead are resistor boxes, a main starter, range and training retransmission units, an automatic emergency lantern and a fire extinguisher. Above the sliding door to the operations room is a clock reading 11.04.
