On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the operations room between 42 and 45½ stations on 1 deck looking aft and to starboard from 43 station on the port side showing a visual display unit, the commanding officer's high chair and the Admiralty Research Laboratory A.S. plotting circuits plotting table No. 1. Against the screen to the side of the C.O's. chair are the sonar type 162 control unit, the sonar type 170 repeater (attacker) unit, the sonar type 177 bearing unit, a loudspeaker and the Limbo mortar firing control box. Against the ship's side on the left are a cupboard with two telephone handsets, a microphone, a sonar type 162 recorder unit and a sonar type 193 telephone and sound unit above it.
