The photographer is in No. 1 amplifier compartment between 37 and 41½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to port showing three power/amplifier units and a GDS.5 Mark 78 (gun direction system) amplifier assembly on the left against the aft bulkhead. On the rightt are a four drawer filing cabinet and three retransmission cabinets. Against the port bulkhead are a maintenance console and a small wooden cupboard with a steel cupboard above it.
