On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge between 40½ and 43½ stations on 01 deck looking forward and to port from the starboard side showing the communications desks numbered 5 and 6 in the right foreground. Desk number 5 is equipped with a KMP(1) circuits control unit and a voicepipe. The captain's high chair is facing to port. The pelorus is in the centre of the forward extension and against the port side screen are sonar repeater, listener and attacker units, a loudspeaker, telephones and voicepipes. The chart table is on the left with a depth and speed recorder beyond it.
