On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the battery charging room between 48 and 50 stations on the centreline of 01 deck looking aft and slightly to port showing a lead-lined sink in the corner and a charging rack, a fuse panel and a paper towel roll against the aft bulkhead. A lead covered bench is on the right with a battery charging unit above it and two large batteries in wooden boxes are on charge.
