On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the A/S metadyne and power and 4.5 metadyne compartment between 28 and 32 stations on 3 deck looking to starboard from near the centreline showing the stairs up to 2 deck in the left foreground. To starboard of the stairs are a fuse panel and a change over switch under a folding desk and two junction boxes are above the desk. An amplifier assembly and a limit braking unit are in the starboard forward corner and three fuse panels are against the ship's side. Against the aft bulkhead are two transformers, fuse panels and a wooden cupboard.
