The photographer is in the quartermaster's lobby and ABC station between 65 and 66½ stations to port of the centreline on 1 deck looking forward and slightly to starboard. The quartermaster's desk with a dial telephone and a clock reading 3.12 is on the right with two drums of foam liquid and a plastic bucket under it. A litter bin, a first aid cabinet and a ten inch circulating fan in the ventilation trunking are on the right. The hatch leading down to the cleansing station on 2 deck is open.
