On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the helicopter hangar between 72 and 75 stations on 1 deck looking to port from the starboard side showing the lift hoisting chains and gear wheels. Three fire extinguishers are against the port bulkhead and four packing crates are on the deck on the port side. The refuelling system is against the forward bulkhead and a stretcher is laid on top of the ventilation trunking at deck level. Two fire extinguishers are against the aft bulkhead next to the open door to the torpedo maintenance compartment.
