On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the helicopter hangar between 72 and 75 stations on 1 deck looking forward and to starboard from the centreline at 74 station showing a workbench equipped with a vice in the corner. Three John Kerr dry powder fire extinguishers, a Nu-Swift fire extinguisher and a L.P. air hose stowage bracket are by the bench. A John Kerr dry powder fire extinguisher, two aluminium ladders and a lift hoisting gear and chain are against the forward bulkhead. The lift machinery is under the deckhead on the starboard side.
