The photographer is in the gyro compass room between 47 and 49 stations on the centreline of 3 deck looking forward and to starboard showing two gyro compass master units at deck level with a circuits control cabinet, a transformer power isolation unit, a ship's speed retransmission unit and a junction box against the forward bulkhead. A compass retransmission unit, a spark suppression unit, a compass circuits retransmission unit, a Sperry Gyroscope Co Ltd control panel, a junction box and two terminal boxes are against the starboard bulkhead.
