On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside the South Arm in Rosyth Dockyard prior to 25 March 1973. The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 16 and 28 stations on 3 deck looking forward on the port side showing sonar cabinets B, C, D, E, F, G, K and L against the port side of the ship. Cabinets H, I and J are in the centre of the compartment and the hatch over the hull outfit 15 (sonar type 170) trunk is ahead of them. A bench and drawer unit, three high level cupboards, a junction box and a starter are against the forward bulkhead.
