The photographer is in the machinery control room between 59 and 61½ stations on the centreline of 2 deck looking aft from forward showing the engineer's log desk with a telephone control box and a microphone on the left. Four junction boxes, an amplifier, the machinery state board, a rudder indicator and a wooden cabinet are against the aft bulkhead. The machinery state board has been filled in by the duty M.E.A.(P)/Mech Potter and the date shown is 12.12.73.
