On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the ship's and supply office between 56 and 57½ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and to port showing a desk with a cupboard, a telephone handset, a noticeboard and a shelf against the ship's side. Against the forward bulkhead is a clock reading 2.48½ and a key cabinet. On top of the key cabinet are two boxes marked AMS original keys and AMS duplicate keys. This office is shown as the store accountants office on Admiralty plan number 000956396, Po.PLM045556 Sheet 2 dated 23/4/74 (NMM plan No. NPD1713).
